Biography

Daria Bocharova is a Russian and Israeli pianist. She began her education at the Gnessin Special Music School in Moscow, studying with Marianna Shalitaeva. During her time at the school, she became a laureate of competitions in Italy, Latvia and Russia; performed in some of Russia’s most prestigious venues, including the
Big Hall of Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the House of Music, the Gnessin Academy Concert Hall.

After graduating in 2016, Daria entered the Gnessin Academy to study with Professor Tatiana Zelikman, where she completed a 5-year program and 2 years in the postgraduate assistantship. In 2019 she was awarded the Alexander Scriabin Scholarship in Moscow.

Currently, Daria is studying at the Lucerne University of Music with Professor Konstantin Lifshitz. In September 2024, she became a scholarship holder of the Hella
Siegrist Foundation. Daria performed in various halls in Switzerland, such as Don Bosco (Basel), Neubad (Luzern), Grossmatt (Hergiswil), Salquin (Luzern), Villa Senar (Weggis), Wagner Museum (Luzern).

She regularly takes part in masterclasses and has worked with internationally renowned musicians such as Lang Lang,  Klaus Hellwig, Vladimir Tropp, Konstantin Shamray, and Haiou Zhang.

In the summer of 2025, Daria became one of the first thirteen recipients of the Pavel Kushnir Scholarship.

In September 2025 she received the second prize of the Hella Siegrist Competition in Lucerne.
